John doesn't like getting gifts for his birthday, christmas or really for anything (CRAZY)! So, we made him a cake and I took him to dinner, and wrote a card. I asked Carson what he wanted to say and he said, 'I want to be just like him when I grewed up.'
Camden takes the candles out as fast as Carson puts them in
Happy Anniversary to us...5 years! John surprised me with this really beautiful necklace...I LOVE it! Of course I didn't have anything for him because we usually just go to dinner or on a trip and since we are in Maui I kind of thought that was our present. But I will get him...his birthday is the 22nd so he better watch out!
Isn't this so sweet...that is Carson's little hand on my belly feeling the baby!
He is obsessed with airplanes

So, John booked my ticket for Maui a few days early to give me a bit of a break! John flew out with the boys by himself and lets just say he wasn't completely sober when he got off the plane! I guess the tv's were out on the plane so they had to leave ALL the lights on in the cabin which made it more than difficult for Camden to fall asleep. They both did finally go to sleep and the flight attendants started giving him free drinks. When they landed both pilots and 2 flight attendants came out to meet me to make sure he wasn't driving (since they were feeding him cocktails for 6 hours)...and that he REALLY did have a wife. Too funny!
Since he has turned 4 years old he has said some really funny things... He woke up the day after his Birthday and he came into our room and was looking at his chest, 'I said Carson what are you looking at?' He said, 'I think I have hair on my body!' Then he was kind of looking at his toes and his arms and he says, 'I grew up I think I am an ADULT cause I am 4 now!' Last night he was looking at his arm and I asked him what he was doing and he said, 'Well, see right there - there is a bump I think it is a muscle because I am really big like Daddy.'
So, we missed the pep rally, we missed her dancing, we even missed her riding in the car but we saw the football game. We thought her dance and crowning etc was during the football game at halftime - oops! Sorry Wit!
Jill, Tyler and kids gave Carson 2 little frogs that are in a 'complete ecosystem'. He named the lighter frog 'Baseball' and the darker frog 'Applejack'. So funny!
So, while I was getting ready for the party Camden got into Molson's poop and smeared it all over himself HEAD to TOE! It was awful.
McCall and baby Ivy (her birthday is tomorrow)
Thank you for all the gifts...he LOVES all of them!
oh yes, I am definitely pregnant
Party Goers...
Yum - 6 Foot sandwich for dinner!
I decided to make his cake again this year...they take so long!
So, you can only bring store bought goodies to pre-school. I decided to do pudding snack pacs and his picture since none of the kids read yet.
While John was in Boston I planned a weekend trip to Vegas...ADULTS ONLY! Our friends, The Lynch's, were going to be there the same time so it worked out perfectly. We stayed at the Wynn which was so great. They have lots of pools and CHAIRS at the pools. No camera except Susannah's iPhone (what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas).
John & Carson went out to Boston for a little father/son trip. Daddy hooked them up with some really awesome seats. 6th row. I saw them on t.v. I'm sure Carson is having a great time - as I think he is being bribed... Lucky Charms (need I even say more?) Red Sox Swimming Aquarium
This is a good friend of ours from Jackson. She just took 3rd in Texas at the Women's Figure Competition. She goes to New York in September! Way to go Shasti (she has 3 kids)!
It's not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can't tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself. ~Joyce Maynard
