Anniversary

It is our 4 year Anniversary on Friday and I looked online to find out what gift it is (hoping for maybe diamond or gold or even silver) but it is FRUIT!
Fruit?
Like fruit of the looms?
In hopes of perhaps a 'better one next year' I looked ahead but the Diamond Anniversary is not until the Sixtieth -
I will be
dead
by then.
Who thought this up? It must have been a man.
I want to enjoy my diamonds not be buried in them.
Seriously, by the time our Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary rolls around I will be
88 years old.
By then I won't want diamonds I will want my body parts replaced.
When I am 88 I will need fruit more than diamonds...from what I hear.
I think I am going to have to work this in the reverse order!

Maui truly is divine! There is something about the air...the breeze...the sky...the ocean that just makes us go back and back and back and back.

Maui

Okay so I had to ask someone to take this picture for us which I really hate doing. I found this cute couple sitting on a lawnchair and so I approached them from behind and as I was saying 'would you mind taking our picture' I looked down to see that the man (to which my question was directed) had only one leg. Of ALL the people on the beach what the heck? Anyway, his wife jumped up and was like 'i'll do it'. I thought about that all night. Just how hard it must be to even get to the beach with his arm supports, and then here comes this dumb girl with a big camera she barely knows how to operate. oops!

Pretty sure he liked swimming!

Take a close look at Carson's eyes...I think part of one is stuck under the rubber.

Have you heard it? The song by Alicia Keys...it should be playing now if you have audio. It made me think of all the strong women in my life!

Superwoman - Alicia Keys

Everywhere I'm turning
Nothing seems complete
I stand up and I'm searching
For the better part of me
I hang my head from sorrow
Slave to humanity
I wear it on my shoulders
Gotta find the strength in me
Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am Yes she is
Still when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yesI'm a Superwoman
For all the mothers fighting
For better days to come
And all my women, all my women sitting here trying
To come home before the sun
And all my sisters
Coming together
Say yes I will
Yes I canCause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am
Yes she is
Still when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest
Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman
When I'm breaking down
And I can't be found
And I start to get weak
Cause no one knows
Me underneath these clothes
But I can fly
We can fly, Oooohh
Cause I am a Superwoman
Yes I am
Yes she is
Still when I'm a mess
I still put on a vest
With an S on my chest Oh yes
I'm a Superwoman

Farm Country

Ok so we took the kids to Thanksgiving Point to 'Farm Country'. Of course Shannon had dressed her kids in all the get up. They looked so cute in their boots and hat. You would think coming from Jackson Carson would have his farm outfit ready to go, but sadly the only boots he has are rubber frog ones.

I love this picture...Hayes is being so funny

Gateway Splash Garden

Carson had so much fun in the water. I wasn't planning on him getting wet today so he is in his boxer briefs! They actually look pretty cute!

Gateway Discovery Children's Museum

Needless to say, little Vinny wasn't exactly psyched to be in his stroller all day but he did so great!

John went to Jackson today so the boys and I went to the Gateway in SLC. The Discovery Museum was really great! Carson loved the helicopter and just playing around with all of the displays!
