I Obagi...do you Obagi?

Have you heard of Obagi?  I hadn't, but I Obagi twice a day now. So here is a picture of myself but you can't really see my skin unless you click on the photo and get it good and big.  I have dark spots on my cheeks from a 'hormone change' with my last pregnancy.  I tried laser - didn't work.  So here I am...Obagi-ing my face off.  Carson and Cam asked me why my 'face was falling off' today.  It burns, it hurts, it kinda sucks right now but I gotta get ahead of this thing called aging.  My aunt has really great skin and she told me about Obagi (not sure I am ready to thank her just yet).
So here is a before picture and in a few weeks I'll take another one.
Is that my face?  No it is the nice treat Molson brought me from the woods...sick!  What in the hell is it?

Big night out on the town...one of the strangest nights EVER!

Guiliana and Bill Rancic...

Ugh...breast cancer!  This was terrible news to me as I really enjoy watching their show.  I think they are both so funny.  I love how independent she is and how Bill supports her in such a laissez-faire  manner but obviously loves her a great deal.   Her family cracks me up, I love how they all speak Italian and banter back and forth.  Mostly, I love how they balance each other out.  I don't think I would like them as much as individuals...they bring out good qualities in each other.

With that said, John and I celebrated our 7th anniversary in Cabo (where we were married).  We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Resort.  We had a very relaxing week and even had friends join us for 4 days.  I like to think that John and I bring out good qualities in each other and together make a good team.  I do wish I could get him to balance his food groups a bit better and work a little less but you can't win them all.  I am sure he would like it if I were a little less anal, less of a worrier, completely 100% happy all of the time and would leave him alone about his food.
I don't think he would EVER admit it but I think he might secretly appreciate that I am trying to save him and my boys from obesity, heart disease, diabetes, having to buy 2 seats on an airplane, eating each other, and crushing their wives.  Really...it is a win win for everyone - so eat your damn veggies and put down the fried crap!
You can't go in the water on the Pacific side because of the swells and the current but the water and sand were beautiful to look at...it kind of reminded me of marriage - you can look at other things just can't touch it!  hahahaha...crackin' myself up today.

One of the stipulations of going on this trip was that John had to workout with me every day...there he is working his thumbs!  (I need to set better ground rules - I obviously didn't define 'working out' well enough - what is it with boys?  If there isn't a competition it just doesn't peak their interest).

John picked a room with a view...it definitely had a view and a hike to get to it :)

"Unbroken" Book Club Pick - Reading between the Lines

First book club meeting.  There are only a few of us, but we had a LOT to talk about.  I made bruschetta, homemade cupcakes, and of course there was wine!  Our first book was Unbroken.  It was very good, however, I was not prepared for the vividness of war and being a prisoner of war in Japan.  It was grueling, well written, and thorough.  The loved the ending.

Soho Beach House - Miami

This was similar to our room.  Each room is unique but it was so great...I loved the furniture and exposed beams.  Also thoroughly enjoyed the rain shower, comfy sitting areas, flat screen, bar, huge bathroom, beautiful ocean views - I was very happy!
Great gym.  Their spa is called the "Cowshed" and then their products are things like "dirty cow, mad cow, milk cow."  This is the pedicure area.  They had this amazing glass chandelier but couldn't find a photo.

Italian restaurant in Soho.  You have to be staying at Soho or be a member.  Loved the hanging jar lights and comfy sofas.
We used the penthouse for the actual model casting which had amazing views and was just a really great space inside and out.

Key West Florida

John arranged for a great dinner at a restaurant called 'Latitudes'.  We took a little ferry over to a small island that houses an amazing Westin (for next time) and this yummy restaurant.  We actually stayed at the Casa Maria, Waldorf Astoria which was nice but definitely not like their other properties we have stayed.  Pool was great, rooms small, no spa - although they offer treatments in one of their rooms or by the water.
So, I saw this wonderfully respectable establishment and absolutely HAD to go inside.  I think it is a biker bar.  Established the same year I was born but the name just made me want to know more.
 Southern most point.
John and I wanted to check out the location for the photoshoot this year.  So, we drove up the keys and stopped so I could do a photoshoot of myself because I SERIOUSLY LOVE LOVE LOVE myself.  So glad John sent pictures to everyone I know.  I guess I could be naked and that would most definitely be worse!
One of the models was giving my niece some 'tips' and she told her to arch her back and lift her butt up a little.  The arched back doesn't seem to help me out at all in the chest area, however.
So pretty though!  It is going to be great.
